A Connecticut native, Dr. Eric M. Kosofsky was a graduate of Hall High School, in West Hartford. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Chemistry and Minor in Biology. Dr Kosofsky attended Podiatric Medical School at the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He then went on to complete his post-doctoral training at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center Podiatry Residency Program, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. His program affiliates included UMass Medical School, Joslin Diabetes Center, Massachusetts General Hospital and New England Deaconess Hospital.
Dr. Kosofsky is an Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and was the Section Chief of Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgery at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center from 2009 thru 2021. He was also named the "Podiatrist of the Year" by the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association in 2011.
